Cube is seeking a Staff Frontend Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of our applications. This is a high-agency role where you will have the autonomy to take projects from idea to release, serving as a central part of building our AI-first engineering culture.
What You'll Do
- Drive projects from idea to release, including scoping, technical design, implementation, and deployment.
- Write and review technical specs for features spanning multiple applications to ensure performance and scalability.
- Contribute to our AI-assisted development environment by building skills and coordinating agents.
- Solve high-complexity problems like performance bottlenecks and intricate state management challenges.
- Implement and manage observability strategies using tools like Datadog to monitor and improve customer experiences.
- Mentor the team through pair programming and pragmatic code reviews.
- Partner with Product and Design to align technical decisions with customer needs and business goals.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
- Proven track record of owning large-scale projects from idea to release.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, REST, GraphQL, and CI/CD Automation.
- Experience managing complexity across multiple applications and shared systems like monorepos.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog or similar tools.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including building custom skills and agents.
- Strong background in test-driven development and building reliable, scalable systems.
