FanDuel is hiring a Staff Engineer

The Staff Engineer, Endpoint Platform is responsible for building and maintaining large-scale Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and mobile device management systems across multiple operating systems. This role focuses on creating secure, automated, and compliant endpoint operations through platform engineering, identity integration, and continuous improvement via telemetry and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Define core engineering principles, reference architectures, and reusable configuration standards for endpoint systems
  • Implement secure-by-default baselines for all managed devices across platforms
  • Apply GitOps methodologies to manage and version endpoint configurations
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to validate endpoint policies and configuration changes
  • Develop API integrations connecting identity providers, asset management, security tools, and compliance platforms
  • Design zero-touch, globally scalable device provisioning workflows
  • Create self-service models for application distribution to end users
  • Enhance device onboarding with measurable service level objectives
  • Establish key performance indicators for provisioning speed, compliance consistency, patching delays, and device trust levels
  • Use telemetry data and automation to iteratively improve security and user experience on endpoints
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff
  • Lead cross-departmental projects and drive organizational initiatives
  • Function effectively in high-velocity, evolving environments
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide occasional after-hours support as required

Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and enterprise mobile device management platforms
  • Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, and Python with hands-on scripting capabilities
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, and configuration-as-code workflows in production using Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • In-depth knowledge of endpoint and mobile security ecosystems
  • Strong experience integrating APIs with identity providers like Okta, IAM systems, and security tooling
  • Background in data governance, privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, including defining and tracking measurable KPIs
  • Solid analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration abilities

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $146,000 to $182,000 USD, based on experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This position may qualify for short-term or long-term incentives, including cash bonuses and stock programs. Additional benefits include a 401k with up to a 5% match, commuter benefits, and pet insurance.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid work model with office presence required in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Jersey City, Canada, or Scotland. Offers location flexibility across multiple US cities and international offices.
