Responsibilities
- Work with geospatial, network, and development teams to set up and manage Azure resources for ArcGIS Enterprise platforms serving internal and external users
- Incorporate cloud, computing, networking, and security principles into system architecture decisions
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems in current server setups
- Implement and support hosted applications and database systems
- Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms for infrastructure components tied to ArcGIS Enterprise
- Design, execute, and document disaster recovery, backup, and redundancy strategies for cloud systems
- Create and update automation scripts for provisioning and managing cloud resources
- Establish and manage CI/CD workflows using tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
- Produce clear and thorough documentation for system configurations and updates
- Oversee patching and updates for cloud-based services and systems
- Administer identity and access controls, including Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, and on-premises Active Directory integration
- Keep current with advancements in cloud infrastructure and systems engineering
- Support incident response through recovery actions, mitigation steps, and root cause investigation
