Global Payments is looking for a Sr. Product Business Analyst to serve as a critical liaison between client end-users, programmers, and test analysts for our complex payment systems. You will support Product Managers in researching, defining, and documenting business processes and requirements for new technology initiatives and software features.
What You'll Do
- Analyze updates to industry regulatory requirements, identify market trends, and analyze competitor products to formulate product recommendations.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Services teams to extract business needs and gather requirements.
- Consult with management to identify, define and document business needs, objectives, operational procedures, and input/output requirements.
- Analyze, interpret and develop business specifications and logical flowcharts for programming teams.
- Consult and coordinate with programmers to design system requirements and analyze the feasibility of new systems and enhancements.
- Lead cross-department product feature ranking exercises.
- Write user stories and success criteria.
- Support Product Managers with release activities.
- Conduct internal training on new business processes.
- Assist QA with product testing.
- Fill in as Product Owner/Manager, as needed.
- Facilitate meetings and lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain, administer, and review procedures related to payment card industry and security compliance.
- May act as a Project Manager on smaller development efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training/experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or a related field.
- Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Experience.
- Professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs.
- Exceptional people, communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with SCRUM development methodology and writing User Stories.
- Ability to write clear market-driven product requirements and/or user stories.
- Ability to produce technical and business process workflows.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload in a demanding environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Nice to Have
- Scripting knowledge.
- Bankcard industry knowledge.
- Understanding data structures.
- Working towards a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
- Payments industry experience desired.
- Some knowledge of technology and its application in the K-12 market desired.
Team & Environment
You will work with cross-department stakeholders, customers, and third parties. This role may involve coordinating the activities of other personnel as a Team Lead.
