CrowdStrike is hiring a Sr. MDM Engineer to lead the mobile device management (MDM) strategy and operations across our global enterprise. As the primary expert in VMware Workspace ONE, you will drive the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of MDM and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions across iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms.
What You'll Do
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and lifecycle management of Workspace ONE UEM for the mobile device fleet, including policy enforcement, profile management, and compliance monitoring.
- Design and maintain policies for device encryption, passcode enforcement, remote wipe, app whitelisting/blacklisting, and conditional access across iOS, Android, and other supported devices.
- Package, deploy, and manage internal and 3rd-party mobile applications using Workspace ONE’s MAM capabilities.
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for mobile device and application issues.
- Ensure tight integration of MDM with SSO (Okta), endpoint detection tools, and mobile threat defense (MTD) solutions.
- Monitor device compliance, generate dashboards/reports, and work with InfoSec and Audit to demonstrate alignment with organizational policy.
- Evaluate emerging MDM technologies, stay current on mobile OS updates, and partner with global peers to continuously improve mobile device strategy.
- Create and maintain documentation of processes, workflows, and policies. Automate repetitive MDM tasks and enrollment processes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise mobile devices and applications, with strong expertise in Workspace ONE UEM.
- Advanced knowledge of Omnissa Workspace ONE platform and its components.
- In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android enterprise mobility features, including enrollment modes, supervision, managed apps, app configuration, and device compliance.
- Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM), Google Enterprise, and integration into Workspace ONE.
- Deep understanding of MDM and MAM policies, including security hardening, user profiles, certificate-based authentication, VPN, Wi-Fi, and conditional access.
- Hands-on experience with mobile application deployment (both public and in-house apps), troubleshooting mobile issues at OS and app levels, and ensuring version consistency.
- Scripting ability for automation (PowerShell, Python, or Workspace ONE APIs).
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Workspace ONE Admin certification.
- Experience integrating Workspace ONE with Okta, Azure AD, MTD platforms, or identity-aware proxies.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and how MDM fits into modern access models.
- Experience working in high-growth or global enterprise environments supporting 10K+ mobile devices.
- Previous exposure to Windows 11 or macOS device MDM via Workspace ONE or Intune.
- Certifications: Workspace ONE UEM Specialist/Admin, CompTIA Mobility+, or equivalent mobile certifications.
