American Medical Technology Inc. is looking for a Sr. Design Engineer to lead the design and development of new and existing products within the enteral feeding and surgical industries. You will oversee projects from concept through finalized design, working independently and collaboratively within the engineering department and with sales & marketing.
What You'll Do
- Execute new product design and major improvement designs for existing products
- Manage overall projects, including timeline updates
- Coordinate within engineering and other departments to complete project tasks
- Deliver extensive presentations on project status updates
- Conduct risk analysis assessments
- Determine user needs and functional specifications
- Oversee design validation and clinical evaluation
- Lead prototyping and product testing
- Correspond with vendors for obtaining samples and quotes
- Perform cost analysis and price breakdown of components and assemblies
- Create BOMs and develop manufacturing procedures
- Manage design transfer to manufacturing and provide follow-up manufacturing support
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a 4-year bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of relevant design and/or product development experience
- Creative and practical thinker who gets things accomplished
- Excellent communication skills and ability to meet with medical personnel
- Advanced experience using Solidworks and/or other 3D modeling software
Nice to Have
- Medical device development experience and familiarity with FDA submissions
- Injection molding familiarity and/or experience
