Workana is hiring a Sr Backend Python/Golang Developer to join Unnax's growing engineering team on a full-time, long-term basis. In this role, you will combine maintenance of existing systems with the development of new backend functionalities that power financial products in Mexico, enabling secure and scalable integrations with third-party institutions.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and support existing backend services
- Design, build, and evolve backend systems and APIs
- Work on complex integrations with third-party services
- Ensure high standards of performance, reliability, and code quality
- Optimize database queries and backend workflows
- Collaborate with a distributed, international engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in backend development
- Hands-on experience with Python and Golang
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs
- Ability to write efficient and optimized queries
- Understanding of database performance, indexing, and optimization
- Experience working with AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, IAM or similar)
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, clean architecture, and design patterns
- Experience working in agile environments with CI/CD
- Advanced English level – mandatory
- High level of proactivity and autonomy
Nice to Have
- Experience with web scraping
- Experience in Open Banking / Open Finance
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases
- Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, monitoring, alerts)
