Responsibilities
- Build and support backend systems and features using Ruby on Rails with a focus on reliability, speed, and scalability.
- Create and manage both RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Develop scalable business logic and backend services to support increasing user demand.
- Maintain strict standards for data accuracy, system performance, and security protocols.
- Work closely with frontend developers to define API contracts, test integrations, and ensure smooth service connectivity.
- Participate in architectural design, code refactoring, and performance tuning for backend systems.
- Build prototypes for new concepts and develop detailed testing strategies.
- Define clear, measurable objectives and deliver results consistently.
- Perform code reviews and break down intricate code into simpler, actionable components.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify project scope, and support business goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of backend development experience, ideally within a product-focused organization.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL API design fundamentals.
- Experience connecting backend APIs with frontend applications.
- Solid foundation in database design and data management lifecycle.
