About the Role
This position involves providing remote speech and language support services under the guidance of a licensed therapist, with a focus on serving Spanish-English bilingual clients through secure telehealth platforms.
Responsibilities
- Deliver speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist
- Conduct therapy sessions remotely using secure telehealth technology
- Support implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients of varying ages
- Work with children and adults experiencing speech, language, and communication disorders
- Maintain accurate session documentation and client progress notes
- Assist in preparing therapy materials tailored to client needs
- Engage clients and families in therapeutic activities during virtual sessions
- Follow clinical protocols and ethical guidelines in all client interactions
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews with supervising clinicians
- Use culturally and linguistically appropriate methods when working with Spanish-speaking clients
- Support data collection for client assessments and progress monitoring
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding client performance and concerns
- Adapt therapy techniques to suit remote delivery formats
- Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations
- Stay current with best practices in telepractice and bilingual therapy delivery
Nice to Have
- Prior experience as a therapy aide or assistant in a clinical setting
- Exposure to bilingual speech and language therapy models
- Training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods
- Experience supporting clients with autism, articulation disorders, or language delays
- Familiarity with school-based or medical therapy environments

Licensing and Compliance

- Willingness to undergo periodic performance reviews
