Coinbase is looking for a Solutions Architect to help scale our B2B products. This role uniquely bridges technical field engagement with hands-on software development, serving as a trusted technical advisor to customers while also contributing to open source projects.
What You'll Do
- Partner with customers as a trusted technical advisor, guiding them in building on Coinbase services and APIs.
- Collaborate with prospects and sales teams to address technical requirements and support deal closure.
- Architect and implement distributed systems solutions that address complex customer needs.
- Build and maintain open source SDKs and reference implementations.
- Deliver clear, engaging technical presentations and documentation.
- Oversee customer implementations, proactively identifying and resolving technical roadblocks.
- Maintain and grow long-term customer relationships as they expand their use of Coinbase products.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to extend core capabilities for strategic client opportunities.
- Collaborate with support teams to ensure customer success.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in computer science.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Ability to quickly understand requirements and rapidly develop solutions.
- Proven ability to design and build solutions to complex, ambiguous problems with significant impact.
- Familiarity with both modern and legacy integration approaches.
- Track record of working effectively with demanding cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex needs into actionable recommendations.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously.
- Experience leveraging AI to scale and enhance your contributions.
- Expert-level knowledge of REST and WebSocket APIs.
- Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human‑in‑the‑loop practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Golang and/or Ruby.
- Experience with blockchains / crypto.
- Experience with trading systems.
