Prudential is looking for a Vice President, Solution Architect Engineer within the Japan Technology Platforms organization. You will partner with senior business and technology leadership across the US and Japan to establish a GenAI–based development and code remediation team. Your role is to develop the approach and strategy for automated code development and testing, set standards, and bring deep technical expertise with Claude Code to establish a vision and roadmap for new and existing applications.
What You'll Do
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership for Claude Code-based agentic development capability to drive application vulnerability and end-of-life remediation, build strategic growth solutions, and advance the overall technology landscape.
- Collaborate with chief product owners, release train engineers, and enterprise architecture to evolve the Agentic platform vision and roadmap.
- Define and prioritize enablers to build the architectural runway that anticipates future needs and enables innovation, flexibility, and speed.
- Bring an expert understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide technical guidance and leadership, and role-model a continuous learning culture.
- Work on critical applications while maintaining broad knowledge of innovative principles and theory.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lead and leverage diverse ideas, experiences, and perspectives.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for sound decision-making.
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through self-initiative.
- Ability to translate sophisticated technical solutions and industry trends in understandable terms.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Agentic Code Development.
- Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Full Stack application development.
- Significant experience and/or deep expertise with Modern CI/CD practices including automated code quality and unit testing tooling.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Claude Code.
- Experience with MCP plug-in ecosystem architecture and deployment options.
