Agrigistics is hiring a Software Quality Engineer to define what quality means for our high-stakes payroll and financial platform. As the first dedicated engineer in this role, you will shape the systems, practices, and culture that keep our platform rock-solid. You will blend strong engineering with modern AI tools to build a foundation of reliability.
What You'll Do
- Design and own a complete automated testing strategy, starting with a robust end-to-end (E2E) suite.
- Use AI to accelerate test creation, generate realistic data, and spot edge cases before they reach production.
- Join sprint planning and design reviews, combining human insight with AI-driven analysis to identify risks early and challenge assumptions.
- Refine CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates, including AI-assisted checks, to ship faster and safer.
- Run exploratory and acceptance testing to uncover issues scripts can't catch and work side-by-side with developers to fix them.
What We're Looking For
- Proven technical testing expertise: 3+ years in a software quality role.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
- Experience building E2E frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
- API testing know-how.
- Performance and security testing awareness.
- A track record of AI-assisted testing, such as generating test cases, crafting data, simulating edge scenarios, or diagnosing issues faster.
- Experience improving CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and setting up automated, AI-enhanced quality gates.
- A true product mindset focused on the user and real-world risk.
- Ownership in ambiguity, building what's missing and adapting processes in a fast-moving startup environment.
