ABB is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience through projects that support our operations and enhance your skills. You’ll join a team focused on building a cleaner, smarter future, empowered to contribute and grow.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with various teams to support ABB’s operations and ensure timely project completion.
- Design and develop Embedded Linux-based products for embedded systems.
- Analyze problems and develop solutions to improve our products.
- Conduct experiments and evaluations to innovate product designs.
- Learn and apply Azure DevOps and other agile management methodologies.
- Work directly with Senior Engineers to develop and test new approaches for ABB products.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative efforts.
- Seek feedback and guidance to improve your performance and skills.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in computer science engineering or a related field in the United States.
- Knowledge of C++, Embedded Linux, and RTOS.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaboration skills to convey ideas, share information, and provide project updates.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

You will report to the Analytical R&D Manager and work directly with Senior Engineers.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $20 - $34 per hour.
- Internships at ABB within the United States are not eligible for company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Bartlesville, OK.
