Meijer Stores LP is looking for a Software Engineer to join an Agile or Operations development team. You will develop, test, maintain, and enhance business applications, partnering with product owners and quality analysts to drive value delivery in all phases of Agile software development, including work within the Pharmacy technology space.
What You'll Do
- Code, test, and implement programs; develop system documentation according to SAFe Agile principles and industry standards.
- Perform unit tests, monitor results, and take required corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in the deployment of applications in the Pharmacy technology space (patient HIPAA data under security, compliance and regulatory guidelines).
- Optimize and enhance applications and interfaces to meet SLA/functional requirements.
- Troubleshoot application issues in Lab and Production environments to find root cause and work towards problem resolution.
- Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package system evaluations and enhancement of existing systems.
- Assist product owners in systems analysis and creation or updating of documentation for all business processes.
- Interface with the Product Owner and IT partners to develop acceptance criteria for features and user stories and ensures acceptance criteria are met.
- Work within the SAFe Agile framework and utilize ITIL best practices.
- Participate with other IT members, customers and other stakeholders in new product reviews, tests and pilots.
- Perform feasibility studies/proofs of concept to evaluate solutions.
- Participate in structured walkthroughs, secure coding, and technical reviews ensuring application coding and design follows secure coding and design principles.
- Assist in the production support and maintenance of applications in accordance with ITIL as needed.
- Actively participate in all team Agile ceremonies. This job role may also provide facilitation of activities for Agile teams within Meijer ITS as acting Scrum Master.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of comparable combination of education and related experience.
- Coding/development experience with front-end and back-end applications using C# and .NET technologies, including on-prem and Azure hosted (Logic Apps, Function Apps, CosmosDB, Storage Account, Data Factory etc.).
- Any Azure Certification (Fundamentals, Developer Associate, DevOps).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD build/release pipelines, Git, VSTS.
- Familiarity with RESTful API's, Postman tool, Mock responses, API Gateway.
- Any SAFe certification (SSM, SASM, SA, SPC, SPMPO).
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Strong knowledge of development tools, coding and scripting languages, SQL and testing.
- Proficient in multiple technologies or systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
- Knowledge of database management (DB2, SQL Server, Sybase, Teradata, CosmosDB) and file access methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
- Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
- Ability to provide high level of quality and productivity.
