Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on transforming how organizations govern, secure, and unlock value from their data. In this remote role, you will work across the frontend and backend stack to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions for automated data governance and access control.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end solutions across web and backend components of the platform.
- Write maintainable, testable, and high-quality code, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize services and deliver optimal solutions for users.
- Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and engineering initiatives to support team growth.
- Contribute to technical decision-making and implement best practices across the engineering organization.
- Support multi-tenant, event-driven, microservices architectures with attention to high availability and performance optimization.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience building production-ready software applications.
- Proficient in Typescript and Javascript, with the ability to ramp up quickly on best practices.
- Experience building frontend components using modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and software design patterns.
- Knowledge of core Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and complexity analysis.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps processes, or building scalable, high-availability applications.
