Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating reliable, scalable solutions as the platform transitions from Rails to Node.js and Next.js.
  • Develop high-quality code through code reviews, pairing sessions, and collaborative knowledge sharing.
  • Design and implement solutions using technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, Kafka, and Go, with frequent deployments through continuous deployment.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure the right software is built efficiently and iteratively at a global scale.
  • Create new pages and components with Next.js and React, utilizing SSR, REST, and GraphQL.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of protobuf contracts to support efficient service development.
  • Drive quality and performance improvements, advocating for observability, load testing, and metrics.
  • Maintain legacy systems while supporting platform evolution.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and healthy team environment.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to deliver effective solutions.
  • Engage in pair programming with other engineers.
  • Participate in self-directed Relentless Improvement days for learning, experimentation, or platform enhancements.
  • Adhere to quality management, safety, and environmental company policies.
