Ticketmaster UK Limited is hiring a Software Engineer to join the team modernizing our self-serve ticketing platform. You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy, applying your technical skills to build high-quality features and solve complex scaling challenges.
What You'll Do
- Write new pages and components with Next.js and React, powered by SSR, REST and GraphQL.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of protobuf contracts to support efficient service development.
- Drive quality and performance improvements, including advocacy for observability, load testing and metrics.
- Pragmatically maintain legacy systems while supporting platform evolution.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to deliver effective solutions.
- Pair program with other engineers.
- Participate in self-directed Relentless Improvement days to focus on learning, experimentation or platform enhancements.
What We're Looking For
- Proven years of experience working within productive software engineering teams and delivering high quality software.
- Experience with full stack development across multiple languages and modern architectures.
- Strong communication skills, particularly for asynchronous collaboration.
- An independent mindset with the ability to work autonomously and approach problems with pragmatism and creativity.
- A thoughtful approach to feedback, pairing and code reviews while maintaining high technical standards.
- Experience contributing to architectural decisions within distributed systems.
- Comfort working in a continuous deployment environment with rapid iteration.
Nice to Have
- Experience with any of the following: TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, Go, Rust, Kafka, Grafana, GraphQL, MongoDB, Elixir, Postgres.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or Argo CD.
