Quora is seeking a Software Engineer New Grad 2025-2026 to join our Data Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the foundational data systems that power our platform, including the data lake, pipelines, query engines, and A/B testing infrastructure. This role includes dedicated mentorship and hands-on training, and no previous data infrastructure experience is required.
What You'll Do
- Help implement scalable and efficient data architectures to meet the needs of data scientists, engineers, and business partners.
- Actively participate in the team’s planning process, discussing priorities and proposing project ideas as you grow your knowledge and ownership of our systems.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance system cost efficiency by reducing data storage and processing costs.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, helping to resolve reliability incidents in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's coordination hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
- A 2025 or 2026 graduate with or pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Interest in scalability challenges and infrastructure technologies.
- A passion for learning and a commitment to improving yourself and the team around you.
Nice to Have
- Previous software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, or coding competition.
- Passion for Quora's mission and goals.
- Knowledge of Python and SQL.

- Compensation: US: $97,600 - $139,000 USD; Canada (Toronto/Vancouver): $126,039 - $143,602 CAD; Canada (other): $117,636 - $134,028 CAD + equity.
