Wellth is seeking a Software Engineer - Mobile & Web Applications to join our digital health mission. You'll build features for patient-facing React Native mobile apps with over 50,000 active users and React web applications, while enhancing AI-powered support systems and contributing to backend APIs and infrastructure. You will own features end-to-end and have a clear path to grow into technical leadership.

What You'll Do

Build features for React Native mobile apps for iOS and Android serving a user base of 50K+ active users.
Build features for React web applications serving patients, care teams, and internal users.
Develop responsive, accessible interfaces that work across devices and user abilities.
Implement real-time features including messaging, notifications, and live updates.
Build offline capabilities ensuring reliable experiences in low-connectivity scenarios.
Support and improve AI-powered features like in-app chat systems and AI response tuning.
Work on observability tools for monitoring AI system performance and conversation flow optimization.
Contribute to backend APIs supporting mobile and web clients.
Contribute to performance optimization, developer tooling, testing infrastructure, and documentation.
Own features end-to-end from design through deployment.
Participate in code reviews and maintain a quality-focused approach with testing and debugging.
Mentor newer team members or interns.
Identify and drive improvements to developer experience.
Lead significant technical initiatives and contribute to architecture decisions.

What We're Looking For

3-5 years building production web or mobile applications.
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience with modern frameworks (React, React Native, Node.js).
End-to-end ownership of features from design through deployment.
Quality-focused approach including testing, code reviews, and thoughtful debugging.
Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
React or React Native experience (1+ years).
RESTful API design and consumption experience.
SQL database experience (PostgreSQL preferred).
Git workflows and PR-based collaboration experience.
Unit testing with Jest or similar frameworks experience.

Nice to Have

Node.js backend development experience.
AWS services experience (S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
GraphQL APIs experience.
CI/CD pipelines experience (GitHub Actions preferred).
Mobile app deployment experience (App Store, Google Play).
AI/ML system integration experience.
Experience with agentic coding workflows and AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Copilot, Codex, MCP servers).
Context engineering and prompt design for development workflows experience.
Healthcare or HIPAA-compliant system experience.
