Responsibilities
- Act as a principal contributor and technical leader, guiding high-impact projects and team direction
- Mentor engineers to promote teamwork and high standards in software development
- Evaluate, architect, build, sustain, and enhance platform systems to increase functionality and reliability
- Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and uptime through data-driven insights
- Lead incident response improvements for production outages and system degradation
- Orchestrate major system upgrades and architectural changes aligned with business goals
- Solve open-ended technical challenges by creating scalable and maintainable system designs
- Engage in organization-wide efforts to adopt and standardize engineering best practices
- Partner with executive technology leadership to shape long-term engineering vision
- Coordinate across engineering units to align backend services and data infrastructure initiatives
- Detect and resolve systemic inefficiencies through proactive analysis and engineering solutions
- Serve as a developmental coach to grow future technical leaders within the organization
- Work with security specialists to advance compliance, monitoring, and automated safeguards
- Support security audits by collaborating on remediation of identified risks and control gaps
- Oversee patching and lifecycle management for outdated software to meet security standards
- Assist in forensic analysis and response during security incidents as required
