At JPMorgan Chase & Co., the Liquidity Risk (LRI) team is building the next generation of our cloud-native liquidity risk management platform. We are looking for a Software Engineer II - Big Data Developer to join us in this strategic buildout. You will help design and implement advanced liquidity calculation engines, incorporate AI and ML into our processes, and develop digital-first reporting capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve automation value.
- Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making for secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.
- Contribute to the team's drive for continual improvement of the development process and innovative solutions to meet business needs.
- Apply appropriate dedication to support business goals through technology solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience and in-depth knowledge of Java, Python, Scala, Spark, Databricks, and other Big Data technologies.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders to define requirements.
- Experience interacting with partners across feature teams to collaborate on reusable services.
- Experience working in big data solutions with evidence of ability to analyze data to drive solutions.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Databricks.
