JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) team. In this role, you will build technology solutions for MRGR Analytics, creating tools that improve efficiency, reduce duplication, and support model reviewers and governance teams through automation and intelligent systems.
What You'll Do
- Develop tools to automate tasks across the model governance and review lifecycle.
- Build dashboard reports to help manage the body of work for the MRGR team.
- Translate business requirements in model risk management into business applications, primarily using Python and an in-house framework.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into existing systems to enhance automation, reporting, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for LLM integration and develop leveraging solutions.
- Build intelligent solutions to support the daily activities of MRGR staff.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline with significant exposure to computer programming.
- Minimum 2 years of full stack application development experience.
- Proficiency in Python and knowledge of the Tornado web framework, TypeScript, and React.
- Good understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Experience integrating machine learning models, including LLMs, into enterprise applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with other functional areas on business requirements.
- A risk and control mindset: ability to think critically, assess user needs, and create design solutions to meet them.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with large data sets.
- Exposure to LLM integration and deployment in real-world applications.
- Strong UI/UX designing skills.
- Experience in model risk management or the financial services space.

You will be part of the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) team within Risk Management and Compliance. Within MRGR, the Chief Operating Office (COO) supports model risk stakeholders, and MRGR Analytics provides the technology solutions.
