Responsibilities
- Work closely with founders to build features and tools, both existing and future ones.
- Enable hundreds of businesses that rely on Shipsy to manage their operations smoothly and help Shipsy expand in new markets.
- Stay on top of the details and focus on building a better, more efficient program and creating the best user experience.
- Work with a wide range of systems, stakeholders, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from design to delivery.
- Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency to multiple codebases and processes.
- Participate in a culture of code reviews, writing tech specs, and collaborating closely with others.
- Lend help in areas of expertise.
- Build highly scalable, reliable, efficient distributed systems to serve traffic-heavy SaaS-based products using micro-services architecture.
- Build scalable component libraries, design systems, and tools using TypeScript.
- Solve complex design problems and user interface compatibility issues across browsers.
- Contribute directly to the technical and product roadmap.
Requirements
- Experience as a hands-on engineering professional.
- Ability to build from scratch and handle high-volume, unpredictable use cases.
- Willingness to fix broken systems and make them smooth, secure, and stronger.
- Comfort with wearing multiple hats and working across many different technologies.
- Passion for working in a startup environment with frequent changes in responsibilities.
- Experience working directly with product and technical roadmaps.
- Proficiency in building distributed systems using micro-services architecture.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Ability to solve complex UI design and cross-browser compatibility issues.
