Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Software Engineer (Frontend) to build and enhance user-facing features for a leading learning platform used by professionals worldwide. You will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional teams to develop accessible, performant, and scalable frontend components in an agile environment.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and team members to plan, implement, and iterate on user-facing features.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize frontend components using React, semantic HTML, and modern CSS.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues in coordination with QA and operations teams.
- Contribute to agile processes including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Ensure frontend code meets performance, accessibility, and responsiveness standards.
- Write and maintain automated frontend tests to ensure reliability and minimize regressions.
- Engage in continuous learning and promote a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience building modern web applications.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte.
- Strong skills in semantic HTML and modern CSS, including accessibility standards compliance.
- Familiarity with AI prompting and a willingness to explore coding-assistant tools.
- Experience with web development tooling (git, npm, etc.) and testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, or React Testing Library.
- Ability to balance product requirements, user experience, and architecture considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, problem-solve, and adapt in a distributed, collaborative environment.
