nbn co limited is seeking a Software Engineer Expert AI to lead the design, development and delivery of high-impact AI platforms and applications. You will work as a technical lead within the DevSecOps AI team, building full-stack AI solutions from concept through to production that solve meaningful business challenges across nbn.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development and delivery of high-impact AI platforms and applications.
- Build full-stack AI solutions from concept through to production, ensuring they are secure, scalable and reliable.
- Work across the entire application lifecycle, including infrastructure as code, automated testing, monitoring and deployment pipelines.
- Work autonomously to deliver complex software outcomes while collaborating closely with other engineers to design solutions, review code and divide larger bodies of work.
- Contribute deep technical expertise across cloud platforms, modern application architectures and AI-enabled systems, helping shape how platforms are designed and how delivery work is structured.
- Guide and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning, quality and shared ownership.
What We're Looking For
- Experienced software engineer with a strong foundation in building and leading full-stack solutions within cross-functional product teams.
- Background in designing and delivering cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience working in AWS environments.
- Experience using modern development practices across Python- and Linux-based services, APIs and data-driven systems.
- Experience with contemporary engineering toolchains, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and containerised environments.
- Experience working with machine learning, large language models and generative AI technologies.
- Full working rights in Australia.
