About the Role

Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Ground Product Line (GPL) team. You will develop common ground software solutions that are mission-critical for government, commercial, and international customers, focusing on innovative features and customer priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Design and document microservice-based architectures.
  • Develop software using Java or C#.
  • Perform UI/UX development.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment on mission-critical systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience designing and documenting microservice-based architectures.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of open architecture, cloud computing design, and security principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software development using Java or C#.
  • UI/UX Development experience.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Cloud environments.
  • Experience integrating software components via machine-to-machine interfaces (e.g., RESTful APIs, ActiveMQ).
  • Understanding/proficiency in application containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Mission Planning Systems.
  • Experience with test automation and continuous integration and deployment.
  • Strong background developing/debugging and/or testing of web applications and web services.
  • Experience with Elastic Search, Kibana, Logstash (ELK stack).
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams leveraging Scrum, Kanban or other methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.

  • Compensation: $93,200 - $164,450 (CO, HI, IL, MD, MN, NJ, VT, WA, DC, and non-metro CA, MA, NY). $107,300 - $185,840 (most major metropolitan areas in CA, MA, NY).

Work Mode

This role is onsite. Locations are King of Prussia, PA and Littleton, CO.
