Clubhouse is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Backend to architect and implement robust, scalable services that power our platform. You'll take on complex technical challenges and help shape the future of our infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs
- Lead technical projects from conception to production deployment
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define system architecture
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance and scalability issues
- Mentor other engineers and promote best practices
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed systems
- Deep expertise in backend programming languages and database design
- Proven ability to lead technical strategy and make high-impact architectural decisions
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers
Work Mode
This role offers a hybrid work mode. Candidates can work remotely from anywhere in the United States or from our office in San Francisco, CA.
