This might be your home. **The Role.** We're seeking a Junior Software Engineer (Backend) with deep backend development expertise. You'll join our talented small team, architecting scalable solutions and driving technical excellence as we build Grass's critical role in the internet's future. **Who You Are.** • BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required • 2+ years of software development experience, creating robust, maintainable code • Proven ability to build large scalable systems • Experience identifying/solving complex live software system issues • Deep familiarity with modern software development processes like CI/CD • Strong analytical problem-solving skills • Professional or native English proficiency **What You'll Be Doing.** • Develop new features and software improvements • Test, deploy and debug backend API services • Design and optimize scalable data pipelines processing real-time and batch data from multiple sources • Write clear, tested, documented code • Create and review technical design, code, and documentation • Contribute to Wynd's comprehensive infrastructure across mobile, desktop, and server-side applications **Technologies Used.** • Golang, Python, Redis Clusters, Kubernetes **Why Work With Us.** • Opportunity: We're developing a web-scale crawler and knowledge graph enabling everyday people to participate in and benefit from AI development • Culture: A lean team united by the mission of improving public web data access, prioritizing low ego and high output • Compensation: Competitive salary and equity package Compensation Range: $130K - $250K
