Stryker Corporation is seeking a Software Development Intern for its R&D team focused on advanced navigation software for orthopaedic surgery. You will be hands-on in developing software solutions for computer-assisted surgery that directly impact patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Take an active, hands-on role in developing software features and solutions that impact patient outcomes.
- Engage in complex problem-solving, systematically identify challenges, and brainstorm innovative solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement software components using C++ and Qt on a Linux platform.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, biomedical specialists, and domain experts.
- Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics.
- Document and present findings, designs, and results.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a master's program in computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Java) and a strong interest in developing high-performance software.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in medical technology and healthcare software.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication and documentation skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Background in computer vision, image processing, and/or machine learning.
- Familiarity with medical imaging (CT, MRI) and segmentation techniques.
