Best Buy Canada Ltd. is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET II) to join the Mobile Apps team within the Bestbuy.ca group. In this full-time role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for QA process integrity and focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for mobile applications.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
• Build and enhance mobile test automation frameworks for robust coverage of native and hybrid apps.
• Plan, document, and execute functional and regression automated tests in Java or Groovy.
• Integrate mobile test automation into CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins.
• Participate in grooming and sprint planning sessions to establish priorities and share input.
• Research test tools, methodologies, and trends to upgrade existing practices.
• Collaborate with the team, product owners, and stakeholders to create an automated test strategy and product test plan.
• Log bugs in JIRA with detailed steps to help pinpoint developmental issues.
• Maintain and update automated test plans, scenarios, and cases for system integration, functional, regression, and performance testing.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of test automation experience using Java or Groovy.
• 2+ years of experience in mobile test automation for both Android and iOS applications.
• 3+ years of experience in planning, designing, developing, and executing tests.
• 2+ years of experience with Test Frameworks like TestNG or the Spock framework.
• Familiarity with mobile device emulators, simulators, and cloud-based device farms.
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.
• Experience in agile/scrum environments with strong knowledge of QA and software development processes.
