About the Role
This position is responsible for designing and implementing both frontend and backend components of a geospatial software platform. The engineer will work across the stack to deliver robust, maintainable code and support developer-facing products used by thousands of applications worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack features for a cloud-based mapping platform
- Collaborate with product and design teams to implement user-facing functionality
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code across client and server environments
- Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues across distributed systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Support APIs and SDKs used by external developers
- Work with geospatial data processing pipelines and visualization tools
- Integrate third-party services and internal microservices
- Contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing systems
- Ensure software meets security and data privacy standards
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements
- Assist in building internal tools for engineering efficiency
- Collaborate on documentation for internal and external use
- Respond to feedback from developer communities and support teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with mapping or location-based software platforms
- Contributions to open-source projects, especially in developer tools
- Familiarity with WebGL or graphics-intensive web applications
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment systems
- Experience working with large-scale data processing systems
