Zoom is looking for a Software Development Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native web applications for the Zoom Apps ecosystem. You'll work across the full stack to shape seamless in-meeting experiences across Zoom Meeting, Webinar, Chat, and Phone.

What You'll Do

Scale distributed web applications, making architectural trade-offs, and applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
Own the end-to-end development of the BuiltByZoom progressive web application, from prototyping to production.
Write clean, maintainable code, and champion Test-Driven Development to ensure robust, well-tested features.
Partner with product managers, designers, and QA to translate requirements into timely, high-quality releases.
Iterate quickly on real-time audio/video communication solutions in the browser to validate new ideas.
Foster a supportive team environment through open communication, respect, empathy, and accountability.
Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for standards that improve performance, reliability, and developer productivity.
Keep the end user front of mind and strive for seamless experiences that fulfill the mission to 'Deliver Happiness.'

What We're Looking For

Proven mastery of Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Django/Python web frameworks acquired through extensive practical experience.
Expertise in developing single-page and progressive web applications.
Excellent SQL skills and familiarity with relational database design.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform for containers and orchestration.
Experience deploying and operating services on AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
Comfort applying MVC, MVVM, and microservices architectures.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
