THE CMA CGM GROUP is looking for a Software Developer specializing in COBOL to join our Warehouse Management System (WMS) team. In this role, you will translate functional needs into robust technical solutions, handling the full development lifecycle to directly impact the continuity, stability, and optimization of our logistics processes.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain existing and new software within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using COBOL.
- Translate functional designs into technical designs and solutions.
- Support user and integration testing of new or modified software.
- Document application changes in the designated system.
- Advise users and management on IT developments and application improvements.
- Actively contribute ideas regarding the vision and desired development of the department and applications.
- Investigate organizational needs with the Engineering team, create impact analyses, and develop plans.
- Translate market developments and logistics processes into appropriate solutions in the WMS.
What We're Looking For
- MBO+/HBO work and thinking level with a completed IT-related MBO or HBO education.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with COBOL programming.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English at a minimum B2 level.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Oracle databases.
- Affinity with logistics, warehouse processes, or supply chain.
