CrowdStrike is seeking a Sr. Cloud Software Engineer to join our Counter Adversary Operations (CAO) Team. In this role, you will build globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystems using Golang to help detect targeted attacks.

What You'll Do

Build and enrich backend microservices, from researching areas of concern to implementing the final solution.
Leverage existing CrowdStrike tools and services to build cloud-based systems that detect targeted attacks.
Brainstorm, research, define, communicate, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams.
Commit to continuous learning and improving.
Maintain a strong focus on quality through best practices, testing, logging, and metrics.
Work in a collaborative, agile environment with a small, fast-moving team.
Mentor other developers on web, backend, and data storage technologies.
Use deep product awareness to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
Own your work with autonomy in a high-trust environment.

What We're Looking For

A degree in Computer Science or professional experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Significant experience as a Software Engineer using OOP languages like Go, Java, Python, or Ruby.
Deep understanding of scalability and distributed systems core concepts (e.g., sharding, partitioning, concurrency).
A proven team player with a collaborative mindset.
A thorough understanding of engineering best practices, from testing paradigms to peer code reviews and resilient architecture.
The ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
The skills to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly.

Nice to Have

Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
