Dayforce is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

Dayforce is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to bridge the gap between development and operations. Your work will facilitate effective collaboration, leading to faster feature delivery and elevated service quality. You will help build and maintain a suite of internal tools that proactively alert, report, and autonomously remediate Dayforce’s environments, ensuring seamless service.

What You'll Do

  • Learn about Dayforce’s cloud infrastructure and applications to build a full mental model of the ecosystem.
  • Onboard new features, ensuring all new applications pass their Production Readiness Review.
  • Work on projects to improve Dayforce’s reliability, SRE processes, and automate day-to-day toil.
  • Participate in incidents, investigate root cause, and remediate issues.
  • Create runbooks and reusable runbook components.
  • Contribute to the inner source SRE repository.
  • Develop trusted relationships with all parts of Dayforce’s business.
  • Participate in PagerDuty On-Call rotations as required.

What We're Looking For

  • A self-starter passionate about learning new concepts and technologies and contributing to the SRE ecosystem.
  • 2-4 years of experience as an SRE, System Administrator, Network Engineer, Database Administrator, or Software Engineer.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms.
  • Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language.
  • Experience with at least one database engine and querying language.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are mandatory.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure.
  • Experience with C#.
  • Experience with Python and PowerShell.
  • Experience with MSSQL/TSQL and Postgres/PLSQL.
  • Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Terraform.
