Comcast is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the availability, latency, performance, and efficiency of our platforms. You will design, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems, automate routine tasks, and partner with engineering and vendor teams to deliver successful technical solutions.

What You'll Do

Deliver infrastructure using fault-tolerant and scalable solutions empowering user self-service.
Contribute code to improve across our infrastructure environments with a drive towards automation of everything.
Enable innovation through continuous deployment across technology stacks.
Evaluate new and emerging technologies, services, and tools, and lead Proof of Technologies.
Work closely with Platform DevOps teams to design innovative platform solutions and integrate the observability suite.
Engineer technical solutions for infrastructure and application management, monitoring, and operations with a focus on standardization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address reliability and performance issues.
Provide cybersecurity support including vulnerability cleanup, secure server configuration, and incident remediation.
Work closely with developers to ensure software releases are well-designed, planned, implemented, released, and monitored.
Measure and improve the reliability, quality, and efficiency of platforms.
Work on-call shifts and support incident prevention, response, and retrospect.
Perform complex analytical duties in the planning, deployment, testing, and evaluation of products.
Contribute to the design and implementation of reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements to optimize reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain tools for monitoring, deployment, and operations.

What We're Looking For

5-7 years of relevant work experience.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, and Lambda.
Good knowledge of AWS networking and security fundamentals (VPC, Peering, Security Groups).
Experience in source and version control methodologies and technologies, ideally Git.
Experience with automating tasks with CICD tooling such as Concourse.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
Solid grasp of Agile and DevOps principles.
Familiarity using Atlassian products such as JIRA & Confluence.
Experience of deployment within an AWS enterprise environment.
Bachelor's Degree (or combination of coursework and extensive related professional experience).
