Saviynt is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on cloud cost management and optimization to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building automation, monitoring cloud spend, and implementing FinOps practices to drive efficiency. Saviynt is a high-growth Platform as a Service company in the Identity Authority space, offering a positive environment where challenging work leads to direct customer impact and personal growth.
What You'll Do
- Build pipelines and automate cost monitoring, reporting, and tooling to proactively manage cloud spend.
- Develop FinOps capabilities, including cost visibility dashboards, forecasting models, and actionable reporting.
- Perform infrastructure cost optimization, such as rightsizing, decommissioning unused servers and databases, and executing cleanup tasks.
- Utilize and configure cloud cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and CloudHealth to track and manage costs effectively.
- Stay current with the latest AWS/Azure cost management tools and best practices, evaluating and recommending new optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with Engineering and cloud teams to implement cost optimization recommendations and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 1-2+ years of experience supporting AWS and/or Azure environments and their native services.
- Understanding of AWS and Azure cloud pricing schemes, including enterprise discount plans, reserved instances, compute saving plans, and on-demand spend.
- Experience with native and third-party public cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Trusted Advisor, Azure Cost Management + Billing, CloudHealth).
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience automating queries using Cost and related REST APIs.
