Responsibilities
- Perform on-site evaluations of energy consumption and carbon output
- Collect and analyze utility data across multiple facility types
- Use measurement tools and software to assess system efficiency
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations
- Identify opportunities for energy savings and emission reductions
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations
- Collaborate with engineering and sustainability teams
- Present results to stakeholders and client representatives
- Track audit metrics and performance indicators
- Maintain accurate records of site assessments
- Support development of energy management plans
- Verify implementation of recommended improvements
- Stay current with industry standards and technologies
- Conduct walkthroughs of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Evaluate building envelope performance
- Assess renewable energy integration potential
- Review fuel and electricity procurement practices
- Document equipment specifications and operational patterns
- Utilize data logging and monitoring equipment
- Follow safety protocols during site inspections
- Coordinate access and logistics with facility managers
- Manage multiple audit assignments within deadlines
- Provide technical input for sustainability certifications
- Assist in benchmarking against industry peers
- Communicate findings in clear, non-technical language
