Hob by Horse GmbH is hiring a Shopware Senior Backend Developer (d/w/m) to support our teams in designing and building sophisticated, scalable e-commerce applications. You will be responsible for our entire agile development, release, and deployment lifecycle, contributing to a collaborative team of 11-50 employees with flat hierarchies.

What You'll Do

• Conceptualize and implement complex and scalable applications.
• Take responsibility for agile development, release, and deployment processes (e.g., Git workflow).
• Independently develop custom plugins for our platform.
• Program interfaces to connect various systems.
• Support and mentor backend development colleagues.

What We're Looking For

• Very good knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Very good knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6).
• Very good knowledge of frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, Doctrine ORM, Node.js, Vue.js and databases like MySQL, MongoDB.
• Very good knowledge of PHP Storm, debugging, and unit testing.
• A passion for writing clean and semantically correct source code.
• Strong drive to learn new technologies and continuously develop professionally.

Nice to Have

• Good knowledge of project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Good knowledge of agile development methods like Scrum and Kanban.
• Basic knowledge of e-commerce systems like Shopware, Oxid eSales, Ibexa, or comparable platforms.
