Hi-Altitude Brands is hiring a Shopify Developer to join our marketing and e-commerce team. In this role, you will develop and maintain Shopify storefronts, landing pages, and digital environments to support technical enhancements and optimized shopping experiences for our health, wellness, and beauty brands. You will report to the Senior Shopify Developer and collaborate cross-functionally to shape our e-commerce strategy.
What You'll Do
- Build, customize, and optimize Shopify themes and landing pages using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Ensure all digital environments are developed with a mobile-first approach, prioritizing load times and speed optimization.
- Continuously refine checkout processes, upsells, cross-sells, and subscription models to improve conversion rates.
- Translate wireframes and concepts into functional, visually appealing interfaces in collaboration with designers.
- Participate in peer reviews and test cycles to ensure code quality before deployment.
- Conduct regular storefront audits and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Support version control protocols using Git and CI/CD tools for staging and deployment.
- Utilize Shopify Analytics, GA, and other tools to monitor site performance and user behavior.
- Develop and implement A/B tests to evaluate design and functionality.
- Support the implementation of security best practices, compliance with global regulations like ADA, GDPR, CCPA, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS).
- A portfolio of Shopify storefronts and landing pages or similar projects.
- Proficient in responsive design, mobile optimization, and SEO best practices.
- Experience with tools like Git and CI/CD workflows.
- Understanding of accessibility compliance (WCAG), cross-browser/device testing, and best practices for fast, scalable websites.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality execution.
- Proactive learner with a growth mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be located within the PST/MST time zone.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the supplement industry or an interest in health, wellness, and beauty.
- Familiarity with Shopify Admin API and GraphQL API.
- Experience with Single Page Application principles and frontend frameworks like Vue or React.
- Experience with third-party e-commerce apps like ReCharge, Klaviyo, Yotpo, or Rebuy.
- Shopify certifications or coursework.
