Avolta is hiring a Shift Supervisor

Avolta is looking for a Shift Supervisor to assist the General Manager and Operational Managers in managing team members and the daily operation of our stores at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Terminal 6. You'll play a key role in providing an amazing customer service experience.

What You'll Do

• Assist in managing team members and daily store operations.
• Provide staff training and coaching on a daily basis.
• Conduct store opening, closing, and shift change procedures.
• Perform cash register preparation, float verifications, spot checks, and end-of-shift cash reconciliations.
• Ensure daily counts on cigarettes, phone cards, newspapers, and other items are conducted and discrepancies reported.
• Ensure staff report on time in full uniform and that all tardiness and absences are reported.
• Ensure customers are greeted promptly and served by knowledgeable associates.
• Demonstrate effective management of customer queuing.
• Assign daily duties to sales associates and communicate daily sales targets.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge and ensure proper stock replenishment and rotation.
• Maintain housekeeping standards like dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Maintain vigilance against theft and shoplifting and enforce cash handling policies.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to manage, consult, and help plan daily activities with leadership.
• 1 year of retail management experience.
• Experience working in a retail setting.
• Experience providing supervision and support to store staff.
• Experience working with on-site sales representatives.
• Approachable and interactive leadership qualities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good time-management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Team & Environment

You will assist the General Manager and Operational Managers, overseeing multiple team members and reporting to the General Manager and Operational Managers.
