Walgreens is looking for a Shift Lead to step up as a key leader within our store team. You will ensure seamless store operations by managing openings and closings, delivering excellent customer experiences, and supporting inventory and team communication.

What You'll Do

Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving issues.
Assist with and coach other team members to work with warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
Responsible for registering all related sales on an assigned cash register, including handling scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions, evaluating displays, and completing resets and revisions.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities for basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
Handle basic department pricing, daily price changes, and ensure proper signage is displayed.
Assist with bookkeeping activities such as cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition.
Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Attend training and complete requested PPLs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and state and local laws regarding regulated products.

What We're Looking For

One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
