Deutsche Börse Group is hiring a Settlement Officer to join our operations team in Prague. You will be part of the team responsible for settling transactions in international and domestic securities deposited in Clearstream’s global network. Your primary focus will be on monitoring and following up customer instructions until final settlement across more than 59 foreign markets and handling settlement-related queries.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and follow up on internal settlement transactions, both free and against payment.
- Reconcile breaks in securities and cash related to settlement activities.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external parties regarding settlement queries.
- Collaborate internally with all Operational Units and Client Service across locations.
- Produce and manage reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
- Support testing activities for system and process changes.
- Support colleagues within the team on exceptional or complex tasks and provide contingency cover.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Service orientation with excellent telephone, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, integrated thinking, and ability to work independently.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A responsible team player with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
Nice to Have
- Profound knowledge within Banking operations.
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging.
