WillScot is hiring a Service Technician to ensure our modular buildings meet high standards of safety and quality. You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and performing readiness work, utilizing a broad skill set across carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and HVAC systems.
What You'll Do
- Act in accordance with company Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Policies.
- Lead efforts to promote employee health and safety through training, observations, and maintaining a safe workplace.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate a company vehicle safely with a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- Perform repairs to modular buildings including framing, finish carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear.
- Perform check-in/out inspections to determine repair scope and customer damages for invoicing.
- Create floor plan drawings as needed.
- Perform customer-requested modifications.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of equipment, tools, parts, and VAPS.
- Provide courteous customer service, explaining all repairs and services.
- Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates at stated quality levels.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
- Perform HVAC system checks and maintenance per company guidelines.
- May be assigned duties at field locations as business needs require.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Some knowledge of computers.
- Good communication skills for dealing with customers, sales, contractors, and employees.
- Must have carpentry knowledge and experience.
- A current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Nice to Have
- Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is a plus.
