Johnson Controls Inc. is hiring a Service Engineer to join our team, providing critical support for CCTV and security systems across Southern England. You will be based from either Bournemouth or Bath, travelling to customer sites across Southampton, Dorset, Exeter, and Devon to ensure maximum system uptime and rapid resolution of issues.
What You'll Do
- Respond to faults, performance issues, and service requests promptly.
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules to maximise system reliability.
- Provide Level 2 technical support and consistently meet SLA metrics.
- Assist store teams with user queries and provide best-practice guidance.
- Troubleshoot IP and analogue CCTV, NVRs, VMS platforms, and basic networking.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with remote support teams and escalate issues when necessary.
- Act as the primary on-site technical contact and maintain clear client communication.
- Keep accurate documentation and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in CCTV service, technical support, or field engineering.
- Practical knowledge of IP CCTV, networking basics, and VMS platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and excellent customer-facing experience.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
Nice to Have
- Experience with EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) systems.
- Knowledge of RFID and other retail security technologies.
- Background supporting multi-site environments.
