As an SEO Specialist based in Thailand, you’ll play a key role in expanding Canva’s local search footprint over a 12-month contract period. Your focus will be on building high-value backlinks and securing meaningful brand mentions that reflect the nuances of the Thai digital ecosystem. Working independently yet closely aligned with both local and global SEO leads, you’ll help shape strategies that improve visibility and engagement in the region.
What You'll Do
You’ll design and manage outreach campaigns targeting Thai publishers, content creators, and online platforms. This includes identifying priority pages, researching prospects using proven methods like guest posting and resource link building, and analyzing competitor backlink profiles to uncover actionable opportunities. You’ll craft personalized, culturally aware outreach messages and manage the full cycle from initial contact to placement and relationship follow-up.
Using structured tracking systems, you’ll document every interaction, ensuring all placements meet strict quality standards—editorial, relevant, and naturally integrated. Monthly reporting will keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and performance trends. You’ll also contribute insights from outreach efforts to refine broader SEO strategy and share findings with global teams.
Beyond link building, you’ll stay connected with local marketing, community, and product initiatives to spot organic opportunities—such as turning events or partnerships into earned media with backlinks. You’ll experiment with messaging, timing, and formats through A/B testing, and document results to improve future campaigns.
AI tools will support your research, drafting, and analysis. You’ll also help develop automated workflows, identify inefficiencies, and share scalable solutions with the team. Your contributions will help update global playbooks with Thailand-specific tactics and best practices.
Requirements
- Native fluency in Thai with strong written English skills
- Deep familiarity with Thailand’s digital publishing scene and content creator networks
- 1–2 years of experience in link building, digital PR, or outreach-focused marketing
- Ability to build trust remotely and negotiate win-win placements without paid links
