Ethos is hiring a Senior Web Developer

About the Role

BetterHelp (via TensorOps) is seeking a Senior Web Developer to support LINK's mission of delivering human-centered design and strategic solutions. This front-end-leaning role involves building, updating, and maintaining custom and templated websites that emphasize visual storytelling, usability, and accessibility. You will partner closely with clients and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage the development of interactive, high-visibility, public-facing websites from concept through launch and iteration.
  • Create and contribute to low- and mid-fidelity wireframes and prototypes (e.g., in Figma) to support concept development and iterative design collaboration.
  • Implement high-quality front-end experiences using CMS and templated platforms such as WordPress, extending themes and content models to meet design, brand, accessibility, and usability standards.
  • Translate design files (e.g., Figma, Illustrator) into high-fidelity, responsive, and accessible web experiences.
  • Code and develop custom sites using core front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), leveraging modern frameworks and component-based approaches.
  • Support back-end development needs such as CMS customization, API integrations, authentication, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure websites function correctly across devices and browsers; proactively identify and resolve bugs; and continuously improve site performance and load speed.
  • Apply and uphold accessibility best practices through testing and implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and other internal team members to develop and execute solutions that meet client and customer needs.
  • Partner with client teams to review work, discuss requirements, and iteratively implement feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Integrate SEO, analytics, and performance measurement requirements into builds.
  • Contribute to reusable patterns, documentation, and front-end best practices to support maintainability and scalability.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in web development, with a strong emphasis on front-end implementation.
  • Experience with core front-end languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Familiarity with one or more back-end languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or PHP.
  • Version control using Git.
  • Proficiency with testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency with WordPress and other common content management systems, including theme customization and content modeling.
  • Core technical and content SEO skills.
  • Experience working within secure hosting and deployment environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and web accessibility standards.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac environments.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environments.

Technical Stack

  • Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular
  • Back-End: Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP
  • Tools: Git, WordPress, Figma, Illustrator
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Azure

Team & Environment

You will partner closely with internal designers, strategists, and client teams.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary: $93,000-$126,000.
  • $100 monthly internet/cell phone stipend.
  • LINK sponsored healthcare benefits including medical, dental, vision.
  • Company-paid Short Term Disability Insurance.
  • 401K with employer contribution of up to 4%.
  • 11 Federal Holidays per year.
  • 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year.
  • Paid Holiday Time Off (Christmas Eve through the New Year).
