Alkami is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Front-End to contribute to building high-quality, scalable UI/UX features. You'll drive architectural design patterns and own specific front-end product features from concept to delivery, demonstrating deep technical knowledge and a commitment to our strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Drive the entire application development lifecycle, including coding, debugging, and architecture strategy
- Lead code and design reviews to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure proper testing coverage across features with a test-first mindset
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to gather and address requirements
- Liaise with developers, designers, and product managers to identify areas for product improvement
- Stay current with new technologies to innovate our front-end platform
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Provide documentation, coaching, and support to internal teams
- Enhance development tools and test coverage to improve platform efficiency
- Be accountable for overall application health, monitoring, and proactively addressing customer issues
- Own, troubleshoot, and drive client issues to resolution
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Conduct interviews with potential candidates
- Optimize user experiences by considering performance, accessibility, and responsiveness
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
- Strong programming skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong skills in modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
- In-depth understanding of the entire front-end feature development process
- Experience working with CI/CD frameworks
- Experience with front-end A-B testing, test-driven development, and/or automation
- Collaborative problem-solving attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, and customers
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field
- Experience building products in micro frontend frameworks
- Experience analyzing metrics for micro frontend frameworks
- Experience working on a product with dynamic configuration and/or layout capabilities
- Experience migrating from one JavaScript framework to another
- Experience migrating from Vue 2 to Vue 3
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with Gitlab
