At SPACE44, we're hiring a Senior UI/UX Designer for a freelance, remote engagement. You'll bring deep expertise in Figma and a hands-on understanding of React-based design systems. Your role will focus on designing modern web applications and using AI-powered tools to convert those designs into production-ready front-end code, helping us accelerate delivery while mentoring the team on optimizing these workflows.

What You'll Do

Design beautiful, intuitive UI for modern web applications in Figma.
Use AI/automation tools (e.g., Locofy, Anima, Framer AI) to convert Figma designs to production-ready code.
Structure and maintain a scalable Figma component library aligned with React best practices.
Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless design-to-code handoff.
Educate the team on maximizing AI-assisted design-to-code workflows—what works and what doesn’t.

What We're Looking For

4+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web applications.
Expert-level Figma skills (components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping).
Practical experience with AI tools that generate front-end code from Figma (Locofy, Anima, Framer AI, etc.).
Solid understanding of how React design systems work, and how to design for developer handoff.
Clear communication and collaboration skills in remote teams.

Nice to Have

Experience optimizing team workflows around AI-based design tools.
Familiarity with front-end development and component-based architecture.
Design QA experience or UI implementation oversight.
