Allstate is looking for a Senior Trial Attorney licensed with the Utah State Bar to join our team. In this remote role, you will handle a range of litigation including bodily injury, property damage, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. You'll provide critical legal counsel and coordinate effectively with business clients and legal teams.
What You'll Do
- Represent insured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.
- Prepare thoroughly for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Prepare and present effective pre- and post-trial motions.
- Offer counsel to business clients on day-to-day legal matters.
- Manage projects efficiently, fostering coordination and collaboration among legal teams.
- Keep abreast of new laws, regulations, and case law; identify and summarize relevant issues; collaborate across the Law and Regulation department; and provide proactive advice on the impact of new laws.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Utah State Bar.
- 3+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills, including case strategy development, legal research, and advocacy, with the ability to manage complex disputes and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research.
- Strong teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants under the guidance of Lead Counsel.
- Capacity to manage a substantial case load.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment and willing to travel throughout the greater Salt Lake City area.
Nice to Have
- First or second chair jury trial experience.
- Proven experience with insurance defense.
- Proficiency in LexisNexis.

Work Mode
This is a remote position requiring Utah Bar licensure and availability to travel throughout the greater Salt Lake City area.
