What You'll Do
Drive technical excellence in the validation of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) by leading the design and implementation of automated test solutions. Focus on improving test speed, reliability, and cost efficiency for new product pilots and prototypes. Collaborate with engineering teams during design phases to influence testability and ensure comprehensive coverage.
Develop test strategies using In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Flying Probe platforms, including advanced methods such as Boundary Scan and processor-controlled testing. Design electrical circuits, specify components, and oversee the creation of test fixtures in partnership with vendors. Write, debug, and maintain test software to ensure repeatable and robust manufacturing validation.
Create and release key documentation including test plans, specifications, and coverage reports. Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to identify improvements in test processes and resolve production issues. Support global manufacturing sites by troubleshooting complex test failures and minimizing downtime.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and capital procurement for test equipment. Guide strategic planning for test infrastructure and contribute to departmental goals around cost, scalability, and innovation.
